Dropped off at the end of the Gwendoline Hills hike from Wednesday Lake at 0 mins.

 

Another look back up the trail toward Wednesday Lake at 0.9 mins.

The alternative start is the over-growing small gravel pit down Malaspina Road (left) at 1.5 mins.

There used to be, and will again be, a trail here at 85 mins.

But I missed it and continued down this trash to the far corner at 92.1 mins.

 

Ended up here looking up, sweating in the heat (so much hotter than under the canopy) at 100.9 mins.

 

Climbed back up to the logging road and found the turn down on to the trail at 108.6 mins.

 

Looking back along the piles set for burning along the temporary best path at 108.8 mins.

 

On the trail down at 109.5 mins.

 

One big lonely tree at 109.8 mins.

 

The few hardwood trees remain at 110.1 mins.

 

Returning, at last, to the relative refreshing cool of the woods at 112.8 mins.

 

Ten degrees cooler, ahh! at 113.3 mins.

 

And Plummer Road is not far past the logging area at 114.7 mins.

 

The foot bridge onto Plummer Road at 127.3 mins.

 

Looking across Plummer Road to the turn around or two car parking spot that leads to that trailhead at 127.6 mins.

 
 

An easier trail, this one winds through old growth, through some terrific fern fields, and ends just after crossing a fresh clear cut.
